HYPE Social on the Square
Our Programme
With support from Awards for All (National Lottery), Hyde Young Peoples Enterprise delivered a dynamic employability, entrepreneurship, and mentorship programme aimed at empowering young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. Through tailored workshops, one-to-one mentoring, and practical enterprise training, participants gained valuable skills in CV writing, interview preparation, business planning, and creative problem solving. The programme not only helped young people build confidence and prepare for the world of work, but also sparked ambition and encouraged them to explore self employment as a viable pathway.
The success of the programme naturally evolved into HYPE Social on the Square, a youth led market event held in the town centre to showcase the talents and business ideas developed through the project. From handmade crafts to food stalls and creative services, young entrepreneurs had the opportunity to trade publicly, test their products and gain real life experience in enterprise. The event was a clear demonstration of the programme’s impact bringing together community, creativity and commerce while giving young people a visible platform to shine. It has since laid the foundation for future youth enterprise initiatives in the town.
